Philippians 2:5-11 (NIRV)

"As you deal with one another, you should think and act as Jesus did.
In his very nature he was God. Jesus was equal with God. But Jesus didn’t take advantage of that fact. Instead, he made himself nothing. He did this by taking on the nature of a servant. He was made just like human beings. He appeared as a man. He was humble and obeyed God completely. He did this even though it led to his death. Even worse, he died on a cross!
So God lifted him up to the highest place. God gave him the name that is above every name. When the name of Jesus is spoken, everyone will kneel down to worship him. Everyone in heaven and on earth and under the earth will kneel down to worship him. Everyone’s mouth will say that Jesus Christ is Lord. And God the Father will receive the glory." Scrapbooking Fun

We went to Water's Edge again for another scrapbooking retreat and I had a blast!

The house we go to sleeps 12 and we scrap in the basement. This is a view out the back door where there is a patio and fire pit. The backyard looks onto woods and a river. As this is early April, we, of course, still have snow! But that is no matter, it is still nice and restfull to sit and scrap with friends and have this great view!

My mom's 10-year cancer free had happend just a couple weeks prior to the weekend, and some of us decided to celebrate that at the scrapbooking weekend. She would have been suprised, but someone (*cough* Theresa *cough*) didn't keep her downstairs, and while we were pulling out the balloons and setting up for that (along with dinner), mom snuck up stairs and had a glimpse of what we were doing. Needless to say, she wasn't surprised, but was very happy. And, if you know anything about my mom, she crys when she's happy! Well, we had purchased some balloons and pink plates and napkins, Marisa made mom's favorite dessert, Tiramisu, and Lisa purchased a pink Journal that many of us wrote notes in to mom. We had fun and she was very grateful (if not surprised!).

Weekends at Water's Edge are very relaxing. We go to bed whenever, get up whenever, take naps whenever. It is nice to just do things at our own leisure. And we don't just scrapbook. Some like to spend hours reading, walking, watching almost a full season of Supernatural, or taking trips into town to shop.
Although we've been to Water's Edge a few times, the people who come change each time. This one we had Mom, Linda, Mary Ellen, Theresa, Katie, Marisa, Caytie, me, Jody, Barb, Lisa, and Donna. We all had a blast and can't wait until next spring!
